5 Of The best Virtual Events Yet

28/01/2021

It’s been less than a year since virtual events became a huge part of our lives. Yet, for such a juvenile genre, it already boasts a number of complex and impressive events. It just shows how resilient and industrious this industry can really be. Plus, how glad we are for modern day technological advances. Tackling a webinar during the dial-up internet days doesn’t bear thinking about!

We’ve put together a list of 5 remarkable events created in this short timeframe, each one leading the way in its own category…

Best Product Launch – Porsche Taycan Virtual Launch

The automotive industry was hit hard last year with all physical launches cancelled, meaning Porsche had to swerve their plans dramatically; which they executed perfectly. The virtual launch of the Taycan in Singapore used stunning pre-recorded aerial footage, live walkarounds, and test-drive content which conveyed the features of the car perfectly.

Best In Fashion Sector – LOEWE – Show On The Wall

Loewe brought elements of touch and feel to their virtual “Show on the Wall”, by sending out a “Show in a Box” to go along with a series of performances screened via their social channels. The box featured materials used within their range along with full-sized posters and cut-outs. This multi-sensory approach brought virtual to the next level of mixed reality.

Best Conference – Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference

When it comes to anything savvy or digital, you’d expect Apple to be frontrunners. And they didn’t disappoint. This virtual conference incorporated every element you’d expect from a physical one – keynotes, technical sessions, and networking sessions. Plus, with barriers such as travel and costs removed, it had a much greater attendance than ever before.

Best Cultural Experiences – Street Art With Google

The world is beginning to look for new experiences to pass the long lockdown evenings, as Netflix begins to wear a little thin. One experience we’d definitely recommend is Street Art with Google. It brings you on the tour of the best street art from around the world, giving you the stories behind them. It’s certainly a rabbit hole worth exploring. Check it out here .

One Of Our Best

In lieu of their usual roadshow, Failte Ireland needed a way to speak to stakeholders ahead of their re-opening of the country campaign. We worked with them to create four streamed events, consisting of talks from CEO, Paul Kelly and other department heads. As well as The  live Q & A sessions, where thousands of tourism industry professionals could interact with an expert panel.

So with 2021 now truly underway, we look forward to seeing what ground-breaking virtual events will impress us the most. If you’d like to run one for your brand, or would like any more information, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Until next time,

The Verve Team.
