Ireland is a nation of food lovers, and it’s never more evident than at one of the country’s many fine food festivals, which showcase the best culinary cuisines from chefs across the globe. Held in Dublin’s Herbert Park every August, The Big Grill is Ireland’s biggest International BBQ Festival. Taste of Dublin, which is held every year June, is Ireland’s premier food and drink festival. Taking place over 4 days in the scenic setting of The Iveagh Gardens in Dublin, Taste of Dublin features over 30 world class chefs, over 20 restaurants, 160 demonstrations and talks and an abundance of gastronomical delights. For the past 62 years, Galway has been hosting the amazing Oyster & Seafood Festival. Starting as a humble festival in 1954, only 34 guests attended. Now, over 22,000 food lovers flock to the West to taste the famous Galway Bay Oysters. GUINNESS X MEATOPIA is a carnivore’s paradise! Taking place on July 1-2 in the iconic Open Gate Brewery at St. James’ Gate, Meatopia will be a weekend of meat, music, beer and fire. The festival, which originated in New York, will feature top local and international chefs cooking up an eclectic mix of meat dishes, grilled or smoked over wood and charcoal. Food and drink pairing experts will also make sure you have the perfect beer to accompany your meal.
While food and beer are the headliners, Meatopia will also host some excellent live music and talks from brewers, chefs and butchers.
