April 22nd was Earth Day, an annual demonstration of support for environmental protection. In fact, 2020 marks 50 years since the first ever Earth Day back in 1970 when almost 20 million people across the USA gathered at various events to highlight the need to fight pollution and protect the planet. President Richard Nixon planted a tree at the White House and created the Environmental Protection Agency that same year.
Five decades on, and Earth Day has become a truly global event with millions of people taking part around the world in all manner of events around the theme of ‘climate action.’ Many brands also took the opportunity to highlight their commitment to everything which Earth Day stands for, and we’ve collected a few examples below.
