Sampling Is Back And Better Than Ever!


Like any real life interaction, the world of experiential marketing and sampling wasn’t possible the past year and a half due to COVID-19. Even with the world of marketing and events, (hate to use the dreaded word), pivoted to online and virtual events and activations, the one aspect that really couldn’t be pivoted was sampling with consumers. With COVID protocols in place, in real life safe sampling is possible now. 

Finally, we are able to showcase brands throughout the country, sampling their products and connecting with consumers. Here are some sample campaigns that have been hitting the roads the past few weeks from Verve plus some other examples in Ireland and across the water.

Rockshore Summer Roadshow 

Rockshore was one of the first brave brands to hit the road in Ireland. The Rockshore bus hit the Wild Atlantic Way this summer, visiting some of the best beer gardens along the west. With a DJ on site and pints flowing the atmosphere around the Rockshore bus was immaculate.

Ciroc Sounds of Summer

Across the Atlantic in the gorgeous Miami sunshine Ciroc did their first in person launch for their summer citrus with a sampling campaign and a concert event. They had the Ciroc “Sounds of Summer” ice cream van parked up in the infamous Wynwood area in Miami and nearby there was a boat that had a stage on it where Swae Lee performed from a distance as part of their launch event. The truck was sampling ice-cream and Ciroc swag.

Coke Zero Roadshow

Coca Cola have taken the new taste of their zero sugar option around Ireland to different locations. Hitting shopping centres and shop streets around the country the Coke Zero Brand Ambassadors are handing out an ice cold 150ml can of the new taste of Coke Zero

So…? Fragrance

An ice cream van in ‘So…?’ branding with a team visited 8 town and city centre locations across the UK in 10 days at the end of August and start of September.

With the van sampling the body mists, they also had other activations on site, a “spin to win” wheel and a photo op. The summer themed sampling campaign brought some summer vibes around the UK at the end of summer.

The Collective Dairy

The Collective Dairy sampled their range of kids yogurts across the UK. Popping up in popular family summer holiday destinations such as South-End on Sea and Weston-Super-Mare at the end of August to reach the gate holders  just before the kids headed back to school. All and all a great campaign for families at the end of the summer holidays!

It’s so great to see amazing activations taking place again and it can only get better! With the small adjustments to adhere to COVID protocols we are able to put together these great sampling campaigns.
