We are looking for a talented and experienced Sponsorship Account Director to join our London team on a permanent basis. As an Account Director at Verve, you will lead client relationships, oversee sponsorship campaigns, and drive experiential strategies. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-profile clients, ensuring exceptional delivery of sponsorship programs, partnerships, and live experiences.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, client servicing, and project and team management skills to execute innovative brand activations across multiple touchpoints.

Roles & Responsibilities 

Client & Account Management:

  • Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, developing strong and trusted relationships.
  • Lead strategic planning and execution of our sponsorship and event activations.
  • Oversee end-to-end client servicing, ensuring project objectives, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Identify opportunities to grow client accounts and drive additional revenue.

Sponsorship & Partnership Strategy:

  • Develop and implement sponsorship strategies that align with client objectives.
  • Manage sponsorship rights, assist with client partnership contracts, and achieve their deliverables.
  • Work closely with brands, rights holders, and stakeholders to maximize partnership value.
  • Analyse the sponsorship performance against pre-determined KPI’s and provide insights for future optimisation.

Event Management & Activation:

  • Lead the development and execution of live experiences, including events, activations, and experiential marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee event logistics, budgeting, and on-site execution.
  • Collaborate with internal creative, production, and digital teams to deliver engaging activations.
  • Ensure seamless execution of sponsorship assets across physical and digital platforms.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Manage and mentor account managers and executives, fostering their professional growth.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including creative, production, and digital teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, vendors, and media.

Financial & Business Development:

  • Manage budgets, financial forecasting, and profitability for assigned accounts.
  • Consistently identify new business opportunities and contribute to agency growth across all sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Lead and participate in new business pitches and proposal development.

The Person 

  • 1-3 years as an experienced Account Director
  • 7+ years of experience in sponsorship, brand partnerships, rights holder, events, or experiential marketing.
  • Strong understanding of sponsorship rights, brand activation, and event management.
  • Proven track record in managing high-value clients and delivering successful campaigns.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue growth.
  • Strong budget and Excel understanding
  • Creative and PowerPoint know how to ensure constant evolution of brief responses
  • Experience in further sectors away from sports such as entertainment, lifestyle, or corporate sponsorships is a plus.

Role Package

  • Salary depending on experience
  • Phone bill paid (up to £60 per month)

The Verve Office Model

The Verve team operates a Hybrid working model between the London office on Bermondsey Street and working from home. We expect Tuesday – Thursdays in the office to allow for collaboration and learning. We always want to encourage a great social culture in the office.
